40 000 flight hours built on trust

Since 2019, airBaltic Training has been providing maintenance services for Diamond Aircraft, Austro Engine, and Continental Aerospace Technologies aircraft and engines. As an authorised service partner, the team supports customers across Europe, including Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Austria, and Luxembourg. Many of these aircraft are used to train future airline pilots at the airBaltic Pilot Academy, while others serve private owners and flight schools across Europe.

The scale of the operation reflects the level of both experience and trust. Aircraft maintained by airBaltic Training have accumulated more than 40,000 flight hours, while the maintenance team has completed over 1300 major maintenance events. On average, around three aircraft undergo scheduled maintenance every week.

‘Every aircraft that enters our hangar has a different mission, but our responsibility is always the same: to return it to service safely, efficiently, and ready for its next flight,’ says Kristaps Lapsa, the general manager of airBaltic Training. ‘By combining technical expertise with digital solutions, we aim to make the maintenance process as seamless as possible for our customers.’

One of the key advantages offered by airBaltic Training is its fully digital maintenance process. Through the MRX Systems electronic flight log, advanced airworthiness, maintenance software, and flight and maintenance records are managed electronically from anywhere in the world. Customers no longer need to exchange paper documents or wait for maintenance records to be sent; complete reports are available just minutes after an aircraft is released back into service.

Supporting this capability is airBaltic Training’s combination of both Part-145 maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) approvals. Together, these allow the company to provide comprehensive technical support throughout an aircraft’s operational life, from scheduled inspections and repairs to continuous airworthiness management.
