Ylenia began working at airBaltic as a member of a cabin crew in October 2022, and she admits that the job gave her the opportunity to realise her dream of working in the aviation industry. As a foreigner who lives in Riga, she admires Latvian customs and traditions. This is a photo of a parade that took place during the Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Festival. Ylenia was watching it from her window when some children noticed her and started waving.

Hiking on Herzogstand, which is an amazing destination for those who love to hike. The mountain is located close to Munich and makes for a perfect day trip to get away from the big city. The surrounding nature is breathtaking. Ylenia loves animals, and she couldn’t walk past this beautiful scene without taking a picture.

Madeira is Ylenia’s favourite winter destination. The island is truly unique, and she says that if you love nature and a slow pace of life, you’ll fall in love with Madeira as soon as you land. This photo was taken at the Teleférico das Achadas da Cruz. All around are only mountains covered in lush vegetation, and in front is the ocean. The cable car descends to the beach, where you can enjoy a short walk along the windy coastline of Achadas da Cruz.

Walking around Rome feels like exploring an open-air museum. Castel Sant’Angelo has evolved over the centuries from a strategic fortress to a papal residence, and today it’s home to a museum. ‘As the saying goes, all roads lead to Rome,’ says Ylenia, ‘and once you arrive, it’s easy to see why so many paths – both literal and metaphorical – continue to draw people back here.’
